Autumna, the UK’s largest and most detailed online directory of care providers, is delighted to announce that its founder, Debbie Harris, has been awarded The Woman in Tech Award at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards (WAGS)
The Gala event held at the Hilton London Bankside on Thursday 28th November included entertainment from a Spice Girls cover group and special guest, Baroness Floella Benjamin. Baroness Benjamin gave an inspiring and empowering speech and sung her a cappella rendition of Smile by Charlie Chaplin.
Debbie Harris was honoured for her development of two groundbreaking tools: DAD, a digital tool that streamlines hospital discharges, and OpenScore, a real-time quality rating system aiding care providers amidst regulatory challenges. These innovative solutions are transforming the landscape of later-life care, improving patient outcomes, and supporting care providers.
Building on Debbie’s remarkable achievement, Autumna proudly sponsored the WAGS Awards and played a key role in recognising excellence within the sector. Debbie had the honour of presenting two highly coveted awards:
The Social Care Superwoman Award (Care Home): Katrina Ball, Care Home Manager, Larchwood Care
The Social Care Superwoman Award (Home Care): Emma Bailie, Home Manager, The Salvation Army
These awards celebrate the extraordinary leadership and dedication of women driving excellence in social care.
“It is a pleasure and an honour to support the WAGS and all of the amazing women who are at the vanguard of change and innovation in social care.”
Debbie Harris, Managing Director, Autumna
By supporting this event, Autumna reinforces its commitment to empowering women and driving positive change in the sector. By recognising and celebrating the achievements of exceptional women like Debbie, Katrina, and Emma, the WAGS Awards inspire future generations of female leaders.
Autumna continues to be at the forefront of technological advancements in social care, empowering women leaders and driving positive change within the industry.
