Local Care Associations

National Care Association has always worked closely with local associations recognising the importance of a strong local voice. The National Care Association has, over the years, promoted the local networks at all regional events and seeks to work closely with them on issues of strategic importance to the localities.

There are numerous local associations affiliated to National Care Association who can access benefits for their members through the affiliation.

Local Care Association Members benefit from our regular weekly newsletter as well our other releases and information shares:

• we share consultation papers with associations and seek their views and input into developing and formatting our responses to influence government policy
• 2 members of each association are eligible for discounted attendance fees at seminars and conferences
• association leads will have direct access to the managing board of the National Care association and may be invited to join board meetings as well as become formal members of the board

Members of local associations are not direct members of the National Care association and will not benefit from receiving direct communication from the National Care Association nor access to its privileged benefits that would arise through direct membership.

Membership covers the adult and elder residential and nursing care sector, domiciliary care and learning disability. Each Sector has a dedicated specialist officer within National Care Association Board.
