STOMP

STOMP

STOMP is a project by NHS England to tackle the over-medication of people with learning disabilities, autism or both. This aims to address the overuse of psychotropic medication. Until recently it has focused on health professionals; however, we are now working to introduce the project to social care providers as over medication can only be tackled successfully at an individual level if all the elements of the person’s support system are working together.

Providers are being asked to sign a pledge and produce an action plan on how they will implement it.
