Congratulations to NCA member, The White House Nursing Home, on their recent double success. 

At the Kingston Business Excellence Awards 2018 The White House won the "SME Excellence Award" then also the "Business of the Year 2018" 
 
The home is the only nursing home in the Royal Borough of Kingston to be rated as "outstanding" by CQC and is also accredited with the GSF Award for End of Life Care. Having a Nursing Home as the winner of Business of the Year is great for the image of the sector. The Home had to demonstrate leadership, management, community spirit, financial acumen amongst other skills to win these awards.

Managing Director, Rahim Nurmohamed, who collected the award with his wife and business partner Salima, said it was for all the staff providing end of life care at the Quality Care Commission ‘Outstanding’ rated home, recognising all the hard work staff do daily for the residents.

"Winning Business of the Year is overwhelming. We are very happy, very proud and very surprised to have won as we were up against a really tough list of fantastic businesses. In an age where care homes always seem to have a bad press, this is a real opportunity for a small community nursing home to shine. The implication for us as a small business in the borough is huge – it really raises our profile. For a small independent like us to win an award like this is a massive step."
