Health and Care Together

Browne Jacobson, 14th floor, No. 1 Spinningfields, 1 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3EB

17:15pm - 19:30pm

It is fair to say that care of the elderly is in crisis. It represents the biggest drain on Council finances and the greatest and most important challenge facing the public sector today. Without doubt, better integration and collaboration between local government and the NHS is crucial to solving the crisis.

Browne Jacobson has a proud record of advising both sectors and has facilitated many examples of joint working between them. We do not represent one sector or one point of view over another, other than a “one public sector” view.

To mark the opening of our landmark new premises in Manchester, a city which can rightly claim to have a genuine track record on delivering public sector collaboration, we are holding a forum to which we have invited a panel of leading figures from the public sector to offer their thoughts on the challenges they have faced and to answer questions in a debate on the what the future options are. Our panel will be;

  • Dr Carolyn Wilkins, Chief Executive of Oldham Council
  • Miranda Carruthers-Watt, Monitoring Officer and Head of Legal, Salford City Council
  • Dr Carolyn Kus, Executive Director for Strategic Commissioning and Director of Adult Social Care Services at Manchester City Council
  • Alison Alexander - Managing Director and Director of Adult and Health Services at Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

There will be drinks and light refreshments served and the opportunity to network with your peers and other leading practitioners from across the region.
